Safe Travel Course Plus is the optimal preparation for safe travel and work in urban and remote areas with medical and safety risks.
When travelling for a short period of time in urban or rural areas with low to medium risk, safety is important.
You don’t want to worry about whether you can handle an aggressive situation or a medical emergency.
But are you really well prepared?
Are you able to administer first aid even if no ambulance arrives? How do you deal with a robbery or a corrupt official? How do you prevent someone from stealing your sensitive information?
The Safe Travel Course Plus prepares you to manage such situations confidently.
We achieve this together through realistic exercises with actors. In a safe learning environment, you will learn how best to handle situations.
This gives you the confidence to travel with peace of mind.

Your own professional medical kit and instruction cards
During the Medical First Aid module, our specialists will teach you how to use a professional medical kit that has been specially designed for remote areas. You will receive this medical kit free of charge to take with you on your travels.
At the end of each part of the training, you will receive an instruction card summarising what you have learned. These quick reference cards are waterproof, making them convenient and practical to take with you on your travels.
Safe learning environment
Your safety is our priority. If you need personal support for any reason, we will make time for you.
Before and during the training, there will be time to share your personal experiences with the trainer. The trainer can then discreetly adapt the training for you so that you get the best and safest learning experience we can offer.
Learning through practice
We believe in the power of practising unsafe situations. Our specialists offer you the opportunity to test and improve your response in a safe learning environment.
The specialised trainers are supported by a medical actor and an aggression actor during this training.

What clothes do I wear during the training?
Please adjust your clothing according to the weather forecast. You should wear outdoor shoes as the ground might be wet, slippery, and sloped. Your clothing should enable you to lie down and crawl on the (sometimes dirty) ground.
Is it possible to reserve a course spot as an option?
Unfortunately, CSD cannot record an optional reservation for you.
However, you can move or cancel your registration free of charge up to three weeks before the start of your chosen training.
I am self-employed; can I register for your training?
Yes, you are welcome.
Can you provide a detailed schedule of the training?
After registration, you will receive a timetable with the programme from us.
Can I stay at home overnight during a HEAT training?
We strongly recommend staying overnight at the hotel, as the program is very intensive and immersive. The days end at 10 PM, and the next day’s programme starts early.
I will need to miss part of the training. Is that a problem?
Please note that full participation in the course is required. To receive your certificate, you must attend all modules. Due to the full-day program, there is no time available for work.
Will you arrange my visa?
CSD does not provide an invitation letter or visa support.
Do you organise transportation from the airport to the training site?
CSD does not provide transportation for open training courses. However, on the training details webpage, you can find suggestions for transportation.
Can you fund my participation in the training?
CSD does not fund participants.
Does CSD cover travel costs?
You are responsible for covering your own travel costs.
Can I get a discount?
This is possible when you have multiple participants that we can include on an invoice. Please contact us to discuss the options.
Is this course safe for me?
Participant safety is crucial in all our training courses. We can tailor the training to your mental and physical limits if you communicate them to us. You are also free to take a time-out at any time. If you feel we can accommodate you in a better way, we can adjust the course to ensure you have the best learning experience.
Will there be sleep deprivation?
There is no sleep deprivation (intentionally depriving participants of sleep) in our open courses; we will not wake you up at night. A well-rested participant learns more than a tired participant. Also, in our open courses, sleep deprivation is not a learning goal.
Are there high physical demands?
A HEAT course is not physically demanding. If you are in reasonable physical health, you can complete the course easily. If you have physical limitations, please let us know, and we will adjust the course to ensure it is suitable for you.
