The world is increasingly faced with poverty and injustice. To stop this trend, humanitarian actors are bringing relief and development.

Often these humanitarian programmes are in unsafe areas. In these areas humanitarian actors are more and more often confronted with violence against their organisation, staff, assets and partners.

These violent acts slow down or even stop humanitarian programmes. Consequently people in need are deprived of support due to this violence.

We believe in helping humanitarian organisations to strengthen their safety and security. They should be able to work and travel in insecure regions. That way those who need help can indeed be helped, even if they are in a dangerous area.
