Talking about managing critical incidents is just not enough, you have to act. During CSD’s 6th annual NGO Security Conference we will focus on the practical side of critical incident management. More often than not, critical incident management conferences and exercises focus on managing a kidnapping. Far more often, NGOs face incidents such as suspension of programmes, attacks on office buildings, death of local staff, and evacuations. Why attend? During the day you practise in practice: Managing a critical incident making use of experienced trainers, real-life web-based incident reporting and multiple NGO involvement.

The conference aims to prepare you for managing a critical incident by highlighting experiences from the perspective of those involved and discussing and establishing best practice. You will explore ways to prepare for, manage and deal with the aftermath of critical incidents. Most of all however, you will learn by doing.
